i have always been a little lacking in the social graces department partly because of my jw upbringing.

hello, have been on this board for a few years, and now my wife is asking me to read the subject book with her.

it seems pretty 'vanilla' in my scan through it, seems to lift up the male headship issue a few times and of course the cure to all ill is to 'attend christian meetings'.. am still working to fully open her eyes, anything in here i can use that may help, any conflicts with current doctrine i could possibly point out??.

We studied that book as a couple many times..... it only made things worse!!!

I can't remember my last meeting... cause I didn't leave on a meeting day or night...
I had a visit from Elders who were very close to me.....
And things happened that I never started.....but decided to End right there and told My So called Friends I was done.
They asked if we could Pray... I said go ahead but don't expect me to join in.
Funny I remember my last C. Assembly at the end I looked around even took a picture and somehow knew it would be my Last.
Even if at that time I had No plan to leave ...but somehow ...I knew!!
I was a popular Brother and what shocked me was No one called or stopped by to see why Charlie Brown Jr. wasn't going to meetings anymore.
I stopped by a Brothers House months later who I saw as a VERY CLOSE Friend.... I had grown a beard and he didn't recognize me and when he saw it was me it was the most Uncomfortable visit I ever had...it lasted 10 mins' so much for Diamond Friends!

when i first started studying i was told that i would notice that the demons would try to stop me from recieving accurate bible knowledge.
well i never really witnessed anything unusual like objects flying through the air, bleeding walls, increased nightmares or something of that nature.
almost all the people that i know who have become baptized have a story or two about this having happened to them.
Well I heard so many stories of Demons terrorizing JW familys..
I was scared to Death of Satan and His Demons...
Today after being out for 11 yrs I have never heard voices or felt their presence... even after Buying all My Zeppelin albums again and Some Black Sabbath Cd's after having to burn my Album Collection because My taste in music was Very questionable.
How did I not see this was a Cult.. anyone that can convince you to burn anything because of Demons should be an Eyeopener!
I'm kinda bummed out Satan and his Demons forgot about me... They were so concerned about me when I was a Minister....
